Debra Baity, Enrolled Agent
Debra joined the firm of Robert Chessher Financial Services (previous owner) on April 12, 1999, bringing with her many years of private industry Accounting and Tax Preparation experience.
She passed the Enrolled Agents Exam in October of 2000, and became a partner in Chessher & Baity Financial Services less than three years later - on March 1, 2003. Also in the year 2000, she became an Accredited Tax Preparer, a credential presented by ACAT.
In July 2003, she purchased the company and changed the name to what it is now – Baity & Assoc. Tax and Financial Services, Inc. - where she continues in the Accounting and Tax Preparation service field.
As a requirement to maintain her licenses, Debra continues to update her Accounting and Tax knowledge by attending numerous seminars and classes throughout the year. She is also an active member of the following Tax and Accounting organizations: National Society of Accountants (NSA), National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), and Texas Association of Financial and Tax Specialists (TAFTS).
Debbie Saultz, Office Manager
Debbie began her career with Baity & Assoc. in May 2007, bringing 5 years office management and over 15 years banking industry experience with her.
As our Office Manager, Debbie is the first point of contact for our clients, both on the phone and in person. Her previous experience in banking and office management, along with her attention to detail, help in her duties to run the office proficiently, while providing excellent Customer Service to our clients.
Michelle Hiller, Senior Tax Specialist
Michelle joined our firm November 1, 2010, bringing with her 13 years of personal tax preparation experience as well as several years of private industry accounting.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 1990. In order to maintain her ongoing commitment to her clients, she attends numerous classes and seminars throughout the year.
Samuel Garza, Jr., Tax Assistant
Samuel began his career with Baity and Assoc. during the 2009 tax year as a seasonal employee and has returned this year as a permanent part-time employee.
He is currently attending the University of St. Thomas in Houston, where he is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Accounting.
